Albert Pujols made his first All-Star Game during his NL Rookie of the Year campaign in 2001. Miguel Cabrera earned his first trip to the Midsummer Classic as a second-year pro in 2004.
Pujols -- who will be retiring at the end of the 2022 season -- has 10 All-Star honors on his list of first-ballot Hall-of-Fame credentials, but has not been voted into the event since 2015. Cabrera -- who has said he will be retiring after the 2023 season -- meanwhile, is an 11-time All-Star, but hasn't been a part of the showcase since 2016.
Both legendary sluggers will be back on centerstage at the upcoming All-Star Game in Los Angeles.

Albert Pujols and Miguel Cabrera — two of only three players ever to accumulate 3,000 hits, 500 home runs and 600 doubles, along with Hank Aaron — have been selected as All-Stars by MLB commissioner Rob Manfred. Pujols will retire at season’s end.
