According to reports, backup left tackle Andre Dillard fractured his forearm during practice Thursday. Further testing is needed for Dillard but the expectation is that he will be available for the majority of the season.

The Eagles have gone through the entire training camp and preseason period without suffering any major injuries. Their luck may have run out after Thursday’s practice.

Dillard is the Eagles’ former first-round pick from the 2019 NFL Draft out of Washington State. After losing a position battle at left tackle to Jordan Mailata, Dillard had been named in trade conversations over the last few years. He is now in the final year of his rookie deal, while Philadelphia did not exercise the fifth-year rookie option on the tackle.

Andre Dillard is the second offensive lineman to suffer an injury over the last month. Jason Kelce, the future Hall-of-Fame center had lost at least a month of playing time due to a “cleanup” procedure on his elbow.

The Eagles’ top backup tackle will now be down to Jack Driscoll.
