Cardinals claim offensive lineman Doug Kramer off waivers
Jenna Watson/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Arizona Cardinals have announced that they have claimed offensive lineman Doug Kramer off waivers from the Chicago Bears today.

Yesterday, Cardinals offensive guard Will Hernandez (knee) and tackle D.J. Humphries (ankle) both did not return after enduring injuries during the 27-0 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

As a response, Kramer has been brought in and will look to fill in for both Humphries and Hernandez for the time being.

To begin the season, Kramer suffered an undisclosed injury and was placed on injured reserve on Aug. 31.

Later on, the Bears designated Kramer to come off of the IR and return to practice.

Kramer has only played one game in his NFL career, taking part of the Bears’ 30-12 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 22.

Before being selected 207th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, Kramer spent five years in college at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

There is no updates on the severity and length of both Humphries and Hernandez’s injuries, at the time of reporting.
