The Kansas City Chiefs are by far the hottest team in the NFL. Kansas City has won back-to-back Super Bowls and boasts one of the most prolific pairs in the NFL with QB Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. The Chiefs have also been in the limelight due to Kelce’s relationship with superstar singer/songwriter Taylor Swift. Kelce recently shared some of his opinions on his favorite Taylor Swift discography.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Travis Kelce was asked about his favorite Taylor Swift era. He initially responded with 1989 but then changed his answer.

“I might be a little biased toward the Tortured Poets Department, just a little bit,” Kelce added with a smirk.

It’s no surprise that Kelce chose the Tortured Poets Department as his answer. It is Swift’s most recent album and was released during the pair’s relationship, so of course it will be Kelce’s favorite. Taylor Swift reportedly wrote two songs about Kelce on the album, one of which she and her dancers will perform on the new version of her tour.

Kelce also mentioned that “The Man” is his niece’s favorite Taylor Swift song.

The Taylor Swift effect on the NFL was a real thing in 2023. Swift drew more interest to the NFL last season, especially among women and young girls. The resulting surge in female viewership caused a 20% increase in sponsorships. Female viewership rose in all demographics. It increased 53% among teenage girls and 24% among the 18-24 age demographic.

All eyes will the on Kansas City again in 2024 as the team tries to make NFL history by winning three straight Lombardi Trophies. This has never been achieved before.

The Kansas City Chiefs have one goal in the 2024 NFL season — become the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row.

Now that the 2024 NFL schedule has finally been released, we can begin to analyze Kansas City’s chances of completing the three-peat.

The Chiefs have one of the most challenging schedules in the NFL in 2024. This is normally true of a defending Super Bowl champion. However, their schedule offers the unique challenge of playing on several island games throughout the year.

Kansas City opens the season once again on a Thursday night opener against Baltimore. They will also appear on Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, and a Black Friday game on Amazon Prime. The Chiefs will play the Houston Texans on Saturday December 21st in Arrowhead before traveling to Pittsburgh for a Wednesday afternoon game that will air exclusively on Netflix. That is an awfully short gap between games, especially so close to the holidays.

Their bye week lands on Week 6, which is about as early as it can be. NFL teams tend to prefer byes in the middle or end of the season to provide some relief during a playoff push or to give extra recovery time with injuries.

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently the betting favorite to win Super Bowl 59, followed by the San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, and Detroit Lions.
