Manchester United's battling point at Anfield must be used as a way to turn around their season.

That is the view of veteran centre half Jonny Evans, who put in a shift next to Raphael Varane in defense against Liverpool on Sunday.

After securing a clean sheet and a 0-0 draw, Evans admits that United must show this level of discipline and tenacity each game.

"Man United v Liverpool is a big match," he told reporters.

"I think we can take from the fact we've been able to defend our box and that's something in the last three or four weeks, when we've had to defend our box, we haven't done well enough.

It's something we've discussed, so we'll take that out of this game and take confidence from it. When you're defending on the edge of your box, there are always fine margins. When you come away with a clean sheet after defending like that, it's always enjoyable.

It's their home patch, they've got a good record here and they're playing well. They're at the top of the league, they've got some dangerous players. We'll take the point, we defended our box well and move on from it."
